How do brand and quality tier change the repair cost?

Brand and tier adjust the parts portion only — never labour. Value brands such as Beko, Candy and Indesit have the cheapest, most widely stocked parts; Electrolux, Samsung and LG form the mass-market core, while premium and luxury lines (Siemens, AEG, Asko, Miele, Gaggenau) carry pricier, often OEM-restricted components. Pick a tier for a class-typical estimate, or a specific Finnish brand to override it.

How much is a service-call fee for range / stove / oven repair?

Most Finnish companies charge a call-out / diagnostic fee of €80–€170, often credited toward the repair if you go ahead. It is separate from the repair totals above. VAT (ALV, 25.5%) may or may not be shown separately: many small repair firms and sole traders fall under Finland's small-business VAT exemption threshold (roughly €20,000 annual turnover) and charge no VAT — so treat 25.5% as a ceiling, not a guaranteed add-on.

Is it worth repairing a range / stove / oven, or should you replace it?

A common rule of thumb: if the repair cost exceeds roughly half the price of a comparable new unit — or the appliance is past ~8 years for a range / stove / oven — replacement is often the better value. The calculator's localized totals give you the number to weigh against a new-unit quote.

Prices are region (maakunta)-level estimates based on regional wage data (Statistics Finland, Palkkarakenne 2024), not fake city precision. Shopping in the U.S.? See the U.S. version (USD).
