Privacy Policy
CostAndPrice is a static informational website. We collect no personal information, require no account, and run no server-side tracking. This page explains what that means in practice. Last reviewed July 2026.
No personal information collected
We do not ask for, collect, or store personal information. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no contact forms, and no newsletter. If you email us, we receive only what you choose to send, and we use it only to respond.
The cost calculators run in your browser
Our calculators run entirely client-side. When you enter a ZIP or postal code, your browser fetches a small static lookup file to map it to a metro. That request is served like any other page asset, and we do not log it to a personal profile. The ZIP or postal code you type is not transmitted to us as personal data. It stays in your browser and, at most, is reflected in the page URL so you can share or bookmark a localized result.
Hosting logs
Like nearly every website, our static host processes standard technical request data (such as IP address, user-agent, and requested URL) to serve pages and protect against abuse. We do not use this to build advertising or identity profiles. Retention and handling are governed by our hosting provider's policy.
Cookies
The core site sets no tracking cookies and requires none to function. Any strictly-necessary storage stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. That covers your light/dark theme choice, a dismissed market suggestion in your browser's local storage, and a calculator selection carried in your browser's own history state.
Advertising: planned, not yet active
The site currently serves no advertising and loads no advertising scripts. We plan to introduce advertising through third-party networks, including Google AdSense. When that happens, third-party vendors, including Google, will use cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You will be able to opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, and out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info. Google's use of advertising data is described at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
For visitors in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, we will present a certified consent choice before any non-essential cookie is set or any personalized ad is served, as the EU User Consent Policy requires. This section, and the "Last reviewed" date above, will be updated before the first ad renders.
Your rights: EEA/UK (GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA)
Because we collect no personal information today, there is nothing for us to access, correct, delete, port, or sell. We hold no personal data about you, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA/CPRA, and we make no automated decisions about you. You still have every right those laws grant: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and non-discrimination. If you believe we hold anything about you, from an email you sent us for instance, write to us via the contact page. We will answer, and act, within the statutory deadlines. EEA/UK visitors may also lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.
Children
This site is a general-audience informational reference and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If our data practices change, for instance when advertising is introduced, we will update this page and its "last reviewed" date before the change takes effect.
