What is the typical fee?
The national range is CHF 90–CHF 190. The fee usually covers travel and diagnosis; many companies credit it against the repair if you proceed — always ask before booking. VAT (standard rate 8.1% since 1 January 2024) may or may not be included: many small repair firms and sole traders fall under the CHF 100,000 turnover threshold and are not VAT-registered, so they add no VAT — treat 8.1% as a ceiling, not a guaranteed add-on.
