How do brand & quality tier change the parts cost?

Brand and tier adjust the parts portion only — never labour. Value brands such as Challenger, Kalley, Abba and Hisense have the cheapest, most widely stocked parts; premium and luxury lines (Samsung, LG, Bosch, Miele) carry pricier components, often imported and sold through the manufacturer's official channel. Haceb and Mabe, the market leaders made or assembled in Colombia, are the mass-market benchmark. Pick a tier in the calculator for a class-typical estimate, or a specific Colombian brand to override it.

Is it worth repairing a range / stove / oven?

If the repair quote exceeds roughly half the price of a comparable new range / stove / oven — or the unit is well past its typical service life — replacement is often the better value. Localize the repair range above first, then compare.

Prices are department (departamento)-level estimates based on labour-cost data, not fake city precision. See the methodology for the localization method and named sources.
