How we price this in the Netherlands

Netherlands national base ranges come from named Dutch sources for heating, ventilation and cooling: cost guides, published installer rates and Dutch parts webshops — never FX-converted from another currency. We localize them with CBS regional employee-income relatives (StatLine 2024) by province; there is no Dutch equivalent of the U.S. Regional Price Parity and no national occupation-specific wage table for Dutch installers, so the general regional income relative stands in as the local labour-cost proxy. VAT (btw) is 21% nationwide: repairing a cv-ketel (gas boiler), heat pump or air conditioner is not on the Belastingdienst's 9% list, and the 0% rate for solar panels does not extend to heat pumps or boilers. Small firms under the €20,000 KOR threshold charge no VAT, so treat 21% as a ceiling. Since 1 April 2023 work on a gas-fired appliance may only be done by a company holding a CO-vrij certificate, and refrigerant-circuit work only by a technician holding an F-gas certificate (BRL 100/200) — which is why boiler, heat-pump and air-conditioning repairs carry a higher labour share. Prices are in euros. The full formula, weights, clamp, and source vintages are on the methodology page.

Reviewed by a Red Seal–certified appliance technician who also holds a Technical Safety BC gas ticket (Gas-C) and an ODS/halocarbon refrigerant ticket (CFC/HCFC/HFC).
