How we price this in Ireland
Ireland national base ranges come from named Irish euro HVAC and heating-trade sources — never FX-converted from the UK, US or Canada. We localize them with CSO NEA06 2024 county earnings (there is no Irish equivalent of the U.S. Regional Price Parity, so the price and overhead terms stay at the national baseline; and Ireland publishes no heating-trade-specific county wage table, so the all-employee county index stands in as the regional labour-cost proxy). Most home HVAC work is a construction service on immovable goods, charged at Ireland's 13.5% reduced VAT rate rather than the 23% standard rate (the two-thirds rule can flip a materials-heavy job to 23%); supply-and-install of an air-source or ground-source heat pump is charged at the 9% second-reduced rate (from 1 January 2025); and many sole-trader heating engineers below the €42,500 services VAT-registration threshold add no VAT at all. The localization method and named, dated sources are on the methodology page.
