How we price this in Australia

Australian national base ranges come from named Australian HVAC, ducted-gas-heating, air-conditioning and spares sources (GST-inclusive) — never FX-converted from the US, Canada, UK, Ireland or New Zealand. We localize them with ABS regional employee-income data (there is no Australian equivalent of the U.S. Regional Price Parity, so the price and overhead terms stay at the national baseline, and no HVAC-trade-specific regional wage table exists, so the all-occupation regional index stands in as the labour-cost proxy). Unlike the UK and Ireland, ducted GAS central heating is a genuine and common Australian product — especially in Victoria, the ACT and Tasmania — so those ranges are real Australian market pricing rather than a substitution; oil-fired warm-air furnaces, by contrast, are effectively absent here and those combos carry the nearest genuine Australian equipment, flagged in each entry. Handling fluorocarbon refrigerant requires an ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARCtick) under the Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Management Act 1989 — national, and the default requirement for HVAC because this work routinely opens the refrigerant circuit — while gasfitting and electrical licensing are state and territory matters. US EPA Section 608 has no legal effect in Australia. GST is 10% nationally and already included in advertised prices; many sole traders below the A$75,000 turnover threshold add none. The localization method and named, dated sources are on the methodology page.
