How we price this in Austria
Austria national base ranges come from named Austrian cost-guide, trade and parts sources for heating, ventilation and cooling — never FX-converted from another currency. We localize them with Statistik Austria Verdienststrukturerhebung 2022 regional wage relatives (there is no Austrian equivalent of the U.S. Regional Price Parity, and no Austria-wide occupation-specific wage table for the HVAC and heating trades, so the general regional wage relative stands in as the local labour-cost proxy). VAT is 20% Austria-wide (standard rate), but many small firms fall under the small-business scheme (Kleinunternehmerregelung, § 6 (1) 27 UStG 1994) and charge none — so treat 20% as a ceiling. Refrigerant-circuit work requires an F-Gas certificate of competence and gas work a licensed installer, which is why heat-pump, cooling and gas repairs carry higher labour shares.
