- Brand tier — Chaffoteaux (& Maury) is fitted in a good many older Belgian homes and is today supplied by the same group as Ariston. Its spare parts are cheap: a sealing ring costs EUR 2.20, an O-ring EUR 5.75, a venturi EUR 25.02, a hydraulic block EUR 25.45, a combined ionisation and ignition electrode EUR 31.28, an air-vent kit EUR 33.54 and an NTC sensor (thermistor) EUR 33.21, incl. VAT. Only the part the supplier calls 'vertrek groep verwarming' (heating flow assembly) runs up to EUR 133.17. The same kind of parts from other brands cost about double at that supplier. Basket-derived and floor-clamped. No Chaffoteaux control board observed; the entire observed basket is small hydraulic and ignition parts, EUR 2.20-133.17 incl btw. Class-matched ratios: kit ontluchter 33.54 / Bulex automatische ontluchter median 75.32 = 0.445; ionisatie- en ontstekingselektrode 31.28 / ACV BLOCGAZ ontstekingselektrode 58.08 = 0.539; NTC-voeler 33.21 / ACV NTC-voeler median 62.92 = 0.528. Median of the three = 0.528, below the 0.85 floor, so clamped up to 0.85 with the raw reading printed. No Bulex ignition or monitoring electrode appears on any cited Belgian page, so no such comparator is available. The supplier's own product title for the NTC sensor is the French-derived 'Thermistance', and 'vertrek groep verwarming' is quoted exactly as it appears in that supplier's catalogue.
