How we price this in Belgium

Belgium national base ranges come from named Belgian sources for heating, ventilation and cooling: cost guides, published installer rates and Belgian spare-parts dealers — never converted from another currency. We localize them with regional wage relatives from the Statbel structure-of-earnings survey 2022 (the general average gross monthly wage per region — gewest; no public occupation-specific breakdown for heating and refrigeration technicians per region exists, and only the Brussels figure is published directly by Statbel, while the Flanders and Wallonia relatives are estimates). There is no Belgian equivalent of the U.S. Regional Price Parity, so the price and overhead terms stay at the national baseline. VAT on maintenance and repair is 6% in a dwelling at least 10 years old that is used mainly as a private dwelling and invoiced to its occupant, and 21% otherwise; the 29 July 2025 increase touches only the installation or replacement of a fossil-fuel boiler, not its maintenance or repair. The small-business VAT exemption does not apply to construction work on a building, so a Belgian installer's invoice always carries VAT. Work on the combustion side of a gas or mazout (oil) boiler may only be done by an erkende technicus gasvormige/vloeibare brandstof (Flanders), a technicien agréé (Wallonia) or a technicien chaudière PEB (Brussels), and refrigerant-circuit work requires an erkende koeltechnicus (Flanders), a technicien frigoriste agréé (Wallonia) or a registered refrigeration firm (Brussels) — which is why boiler, heat-pump and air-conditioning repairs carry a higher labour share. Prices are in euros. The full formula, weights, clamp, and source vintages are on the methodology page.
