Vaillant HVAC Repair Cost (Denmark, 2026)
Estimates reviewed August 2026 · appliance-repair figures maintained by a licensed appliance technician.
Vaillant HVAC repairs typically run 740–19.600 kr., depending on the HVAC system, the problem, and your local labour costs. Vaillant is a mainstream brand — its parts are cheaper and widely stocked, keeping the parts side of a repair below the class average. Every figure is an Estimated range in kroner, never a fake precise number. Reviewed August 2026.

What changes a Vaillant repair bill
- Brand tier — Three Vaillant boards with Danish prices: DKK 2,699.00 (printplade VC/VCW 126/196/246 LL, VVS 342284776, privatgrossisten.dk), DKK 2,997.00 (same VVS number at vvs-shoppen.dk) and DKK 6,262.75 (printkort VC 136/2-E - 466/2, VVS 342288766, described as 'Hovedprint anvendes til ecoTEC exclusiv', vvs.dk, stated inkl. moms), median DKK 2,997.00 -- raw ratio 0.73 against DKK 4,097.85, below the 0.80 scale floor and therefore reported at 0.80. The gap is a board-class effect, not a quality statement: Danish gas-boiler main boards are a cheaper class than heat-pump control boards. A fourth listing (sparpaavvs.dk, DKK 2,428.75 for the same part family) appears only in a search snippet with no live product page, so it is excluded from the basket.
- Parts vs labour — the brand and tier shift the parts price; labour tracks your area's wage index, not the brand.
- The specific fault — a sensor, seal, or valve is far cheaper than a compressor, motor, or control board.
- DIY vs professional — Some Vaillant faults (filters, seals, hoses) are DIY-feasible for confident owners; sealed-system and control-board work is a professional job.

Common Vaillant problems
Vaillant boilers most commonly present with pressure loss, ignition lockout, no hot water from the plate heat exchanger, and diverter-valve faults that leave heating working while hot water fails. Fault codes (the F-series) usually point at the flow/return sensors, the flue gas sensor, or an air/condensate blockage rather than at the main heat exchanger. Kettling and noise complaints in hard-water areas trace to scale in the primary or plate heat exchanger.
Is Vaillant expensive to repair?
Vaillant is a premium German brand (the family-owned Vaillant Group, Remscheid) widely used across the UK and Ireland, generally regarded as well engineered with low reported warranty-claim rates. Its repair profile is the standard wall-hung condensing-boiler one, with electronics and sensors more often implicated than structural components. It also sells air-source heat pumps and its own control range. Spares are well supported through Vaillant's own network and through UK/IE independent heating merchants, and most common parts are next-day items. Genuine parts are preferred by installers for warranty reasons, and pattern parts exist for some generic components such as pumps and pressure sensors. PCBs and gas valves are genuine-only in practice.
