How do brand and quality tier change the repair cost?
Brand and tier adjust the parts portion only — never labour. Value brands — Cointra, Ferroli, Fagor and Daitsu — carry the cheapest, most widely stocked parts; Baxi (Roca), Junkers Bosch, Saunier Duval and Ariston form the mainstream core of the Spanish boiler market, alongside LG, Samsung, Fujitsu (General) and Haier on the air-conditioning side; premium makers — Vaillant and Viessmann in boilers and air-to-water heat pumps, and Daikin, Panasonic, Hitachi and Mitsubishi Electric in air conditioning and heat pumps — use higher-grade components, often sold through the manufacturer's official channel (piezas de origen). Ductwork & Vents disconnected / collapsed duct repair: what usually causes it? Estimated
-
Reconnecting and sealing a loose section of duct
Pro recommended€85–€250
A flexible duct that has come off its collar stops feeding air to a room and fills the false ceiling with cold air, with a risk of condensation and stains on the plasterboard. It is usually discovered after building works or after other trades have been through the ceiling. The repair is quick — open the hatch, refit, band and seal — and the material costs little. Work at height in the false ceiling: a professional.
-
Replacing the deteriorated flexible section and its collar
Pro recommended€130–€335
If the duct has come off because it is torn or because the collar no longer grips, refitting it will not hold and the section has to be renewed. With two to seven metres of flexible duct at €10 to €18/m the material comes to between €20 and €120, and the rest is the hour and a half to three hours of work in the false ceiling at €71.39/hour including VAT. The visit is usually used to check the collars on the neighbouring branches, which were nearly always fitted the same day. Work at height: an installer.

How much is a service-call fee for ductwork & vents repair?
Most Spanish companies charge a call-out / diagnostic fee of €36–€97, often credited toward the repair if you go ahead. It is separate from the repair totals above. Spain's standard 21% VAT (IVA) applies to heating and cooling repair services, and consumer prices are shown VAT-inclusive. A repair carried out in a dwelling can fall to the 10% reduced rate (Spanish VAT Act art. 91.Uno.2.10º) when three conditions hold at once: the customer is a private individual, the dwelling was completed more than two years ago, and the materials supplied by the firm are under 40% of the tax base. Labour-heavy jobs with little material often meet all three, so 21% is the standard rate but not always the effective rate on the invoice — treat it as a ceiling, not a guaranteed add-on.
Is it worth repairing a ductwork & vents, or should you replace it?
A common rule of thumb: if the repair cost exceeds roughly half the price of a comparable new unit — or the appliance is past ~8 years for a ductwork & vents — replacement is often the better value. The calculator's localized totals give you the number to weigh against a new-unit quote.
Prices are autonomous community (comunidad autónoma)-level estimates based on autonomous-community wage data (INE Annual Wage Structure Survey 2022), not fake city precision. Shopping in the U.S.?
