How we price this in Spain

Spain national base ranges come from named Spanish heating, ventilation and cooling sources (cost guides, installers and parts suppliers), in euros and never converted from another currency. We localize them with wage differences between autonomous communities (INE, Encuesta Anual de Estructura Salarial — Annual Wage Structure Survey 2022); there is no Spanish equivalent of the U.S. Regional Price Parities and no HVAC-trade-specific regional wage table, so the price and overhead terms stay at the national baseline and the all-employee regional index stands in as the local labour-cost proxy. The standard 21% VAT applies nationwide and prices are shown VAT-inclusive, though a repair in a dwelling can fall to 10% when it meets the three conditions in art. 91.Uno.2.10º (private individual as customer, dwelling over two years old, materials under 40% of the tax base) — treat 21% as a ceiling. Refrigerant-circuit work requires a personal F-Gas handling certificate (Royal Decree 552/2019) and gas work an authorised installation firm (Royal Decree 919/2006), while maintenance of thermal installations is governed by the RITE building code (Royal Decree 1027/2007) — which is why heat-pump, cooling and gas repairs carry higher labour shares. The full formula, weights, clamp, and source vintages are on the methodology page.
