It is mostly asked for when a terrace is enclosed, a bedroom divided or a study refurbished that was left out of the original layout. The material is affordable — a few metres of duct at €10 to €35/m plus the grille — and what you pay for is opening the false ceiling, connecting to the plenum and rebalancing the rest of the home, because a new outlet takes air from the others. It only makes sense if the machine has airflow to spare, and that has to be calculated by a registered installer.

How much is a service-call fee for ductwork & vents repair?
Most Spanish companies charge a call-out / diagnostic fee of €36–€97, often credited toward the repair if you go ahead. It is separate from the repair totals above. Spain's standard 21% VAT (IVA) applies to heating and cooling repair services, and consumer prices are shown VAT-inclusive. A repair carried out in a dwelling can fall to the 10% reduced rate (Spanish VAT Act art. 91.Uno.2.10º) when three conditions hold at once: the customer is a private individual, the dwelling was completed more than two years ago, and the materials supplied by the firm are under 40% of the tax base.
