What is the typical fee?
The national range is €36–€97. The fee usually covers travel and diagnosis; many companies credit it against the repair if you proceed — always ask before booking. Spain's standard 21% VAT (IVA) applies to heating and cooling repair services, and consumer prices are shown VAT-inclusive. A repair carried out in a dwelling can fall to the 10% reduced rate (Spanish VAT Act art. 91.Uno.2.10º) when three conditions hold at once: the customer is a private individual, the dwelling was completed more than two years ago, and the materials supplied by the firm are under 40% of the tax base. Labour-heavy jobs with little material often meet all three, so 21% is the standard rate but not always the effective rate on the invoice — treat it as a ceiling, not a guaranteed add-on.
