Brand and tier adjust the parts portion only — never labour. Parts prices vary by brand, and they say nothing about how good a unit is. The reference level here is Mitsubishi Electric, whose control boards average €805.18. Pricier boards were observed for CTC, LG and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, cheaper ones for Panasonic, Viessmann, Fujitsu, Thermia, Bosch and Toshiba. The standard repair when the burner will not start even after a reset. The service covers replacing the nozzle and the filter, cleaning the combustion head, checking the oil-pump pressure, setting the ignition electrodes and measuring the efficiency by flue-gas analysis. The published fixed prices are EUR 129, EUR 185 and, at its most extensive, EUR 299, which also includes sweeping and cleaning the boiler's heating surfaces. The parts are cheap: a Danfoss nozzle EUR 15.68–23.23, an oil filter EUR 25–69.20. The burner should be serviced every two years or after 5,000 litres of oil. The work may only be carried out by a service company approved by Tukes.

How much is a service-call fee for oil furnace repair?
Most Finnish companies charge a call-out / diagnostic fee of €30–€155, often credited toward the repair if you go ahead. It is separate from the repair totals above. VAT (ALV, 25.5%) may or may not be included: many small heating and ventilation firms and sole traders fall under Finland's small-business VAT exemption threshold (turnover up to €20,000 a year, the limit in force since 1 January 2025) and charge no VAT — so treat 25.5% as a ceiling, not a guaranteed add-on. No reduced rate covers heating-equipment repair. Finland's household tax credit (kotitalousvähennys) does not reduce the invoice; it is claimed later in your own tax return.
Is it worth repairing a oil furnace, or should you replace it?
