These are Finnish heating, ventilation and cooling base ranges from Finnish sources, in euros, localized with Statistics Finland Palkkarakenne 2024 regional wage relatives (mean full-time earnings per region — maakunta; no Finland-wide occupation-specific breakdown exists for the heating and ventilation trades, so the region's general wage relative stands in as the local labour-cost proxy). How we price this in Finland

Finland national base ranges come from named Finnish heating, ventilation and cooling cost-guide, contractor and parts sources, in euros and never FX-converted from another currency. We localize them with Statistics Finland Palkkarakenne 2024 regional wage relatives (there is no Finnish equivalent of the U.S. Regional Price Parity and no region-level occupation-specific wage series for the HVAC trades, so the price and overhead terms stay at the national baseline and the region's general wage relative stands in as the local labour-cost proxy). VAT (ALV) is 25.5% nationwide at the standard rate (since 1 September 2024) and no reduced rate covers heating-equipment repair, but many small firms fall under the €20,000 small-business exemption and charge none — so treat 25.5% as a ceiling. Finland's household tax credit (kotitalousvähennys) reduces the labour share only through your tax return, never on the invoice: the Tax Administration allows 35% of the work component of an invoice from a company, up to €1,600 per person per year, with a €150 credit threshold, and states that the 2026 amount and threshold are the same as in 2025; the raised credit for giving up oil heating is 60% of the work component, up to €3,500 per person per year, and runs to the end of 2027. A government bill proposing a higher credit was pending, so always check the current level with the Tax Administration. Refrigerant-circuit work requires a Tukes-registered refrigeration firm and a personal F-Gas certificate (EU Reg. 2024/573), oil-heating work a Tukes-registered oil-heating firm, and electrical work a licensed electrician — which is why heat-pump, cooling and combustion repairs carry a higher labour share. The full formula, weights, clamp, and source vintages are on the methodology page.
