How we price this in Mexico
Mexico national base ranges come from named Mexican air-conditioning, ventilation and heating sources (service price pages, technicians and parts suppliers), in Mexican pesos and never converted from another currency. We localize them with per-capita labour-income differences between states (CONEVAL, from INEGI's ENOE survey, Q2 2024): no official table gives HVAC-technician wages reliably across all 32 states, so we use a general regional income index as a proxy (same data source, larger sample, not occupation-specific; flagged as an estimate, not a stated fact). There is also no Mexican equivalent of the U.S. Regional Price Parities, so the price and overhead terms stay at the national baseline. Standard 16% VAT applies nationwide (8% effective in the border zones) and prices are shown VAT-inclusive, though many small taxpayers do not itemise it — treat 16% as a ceiling. Gas installation work must follow the applicable Mexican official standards (NOM) and refrigerant handling is subject to federal environmental rules, which raises the labour share on gas, minisplit and heat-pump repairs. The full formula, weights, clamp, and source vintages are on the methodology page.
