- Brand tier — Brink Climate Systems, from Staphorst, makes the heat-recovery units fitted in many newly built homes, such as the Renovent and the Flair. The control board for those units costs EUR 484.00 including VAT new, while a comparable control part from the benchmark brand costs around EUR 188. For anyone wanting to keep the bill down there is a lively trade in reconditioned Brink boards, which are offered for a few tens of euros; this is ventilation work and does not fall under the certification requirement that applies to gas appliances.
