Brand and tier adjust the parts portion only — never labour. NIBE of Markaryd is the Swedish volume maker of ground-source, air-to-water and exhaust-air heat pumps, and its board prices set the 1.0 reference line every other brand is measured against. Panasonic and Samsung carry the lowest parts prices, followed by Thermia, Värmebaronen and Bosch. Fujitsu and Mitsubishi Electric sit highest, followed by CTC, Daikin and Vaillant, with Toshiba, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, IVT and LG moderately above the line. On the ventilation side Systemair, Flexit and Östberg sit at the reference level and Swegon above it. The circulation pump is the part of a Swedish hydronic system that is replaced most often, and it is replaced when it hums, sticks, gives no flow despite the right setting, or draws unnecessarily much electricity. A Grundfos UPM3 Flex AS 15-70, the standard pump across much of the stock, costs SEK 4,375 including VAT as a spare part; simpler speed-controlled pumps cost less. The labour for this type of heating installation is priced at SEK 2,500–4,000, which gives SEK 5,000–8,600 in total before ROT. The lower part applies to a straight swap where the isolating valves work and the pump sits clear. The same pump and the same job recur in ground-source and air-to-water installations, where the pump sits inside the heat pump instead of on the pipe.

In older boiler rooms it is rarely possible to change the pump alone: the isolating valves leak or cannot be closed, the dirt filter is blocked and the fitting length of the new pump does not match the old one, so the system has to be drained and the pipework altered. The job then lands in the same scope of work as a system optimisation, where the market range is SEK 4,500–14,000 in labour at around SEK 1,150 per hour, plus the pump and the new valves. After the change the system has to be bled, pressurised and the radiator flows balanced, otherwise no improvement is noticed. The amounts are before the ROT deduction.

How much is a service-call fee for boiler repair?
Most Swedish companies charge a call-out / diagnostic fee of 450–900 kr, often credited toward the repair if you go ahead. It is separate from the repair totals above. VAT (moms, 25%) may or may not be included: heating, cooling and ventilation work sits on the standard rate, and Sweden's reduced repair rate applies to an enumerated goods list (bicycles, shoes, leather goods, clothing and household linen) that does not reach heat pumps, boilers or ventilation units. Many small firms and sole traders fall under the small-business VAT exemption (turnover under SEK 120,000 per year, since 2025) and charge no VAT — so treat 25% as a ceiling, not a guaranteed add-on. The ROT deduction is not a VAT cut but a tax reduction on the labour cost (30%, up to an annual cap per person), and it never applies to materials, the equipment itself or the call-out fee. Is it worth repairing a boiler, or should you replace it?
