How do brand & quality tier change the parts cost?
Brand and tier adjust the parts portion only — never labour. Most of Brazil's installed base is ductless split air conditioning, and that is where the parts bill is decided — mainly on control boards, capacitors and inverter compressors. The mainstream core is Consul, Electrolux, Springer Midea, Midea, Elgin, Komeco, Gree, LG, Carrier and York; Philco, TCL and Agratto make up the value end; Samsung, Fujitsu, Daikin, Hitachi and Trane sit at the premium end. Parts prices do not always follow the price of the unit: high-volume lines tend to have cheaper, faster-moving spares, while brands with imported or exclusive parts cost more. On the central-heating side — boilers, warm-air furnaces and heat pumps — the installed base is small and concentrated in the South and in commercial buildings, so parts are usually imported and slower to source.
