How we price this in Germany

Germany national base ranges come from named German cost-guide, trade and parts sources for heating, ventilation and cooling — never FX-converted from another currency. We localize them with BA Entgeltstatistik 2024 regional wage relatives (there is no German equivalent of the U.S. Regional Price Parity, and no Germany-wide occupation-specific wage table for the HVAC and heating trades, so the general regional wage relative stands in as the local labour-cost proxy). VAT is 19% Germany-wide (standard rate), but many small firms fall under the small-business scheme (Kleinunternehmerregelung, § 19 UStG) and charge none — so treat 19% as a ceiling. Refrigerant-circuit work requires an F-Gas certificate of competence and gas work a licensed installer, which is why heat-pump, cooling and gas repairs carry higher labour shares. Prices are in euros. The full formula, weights, clamp, and source vintages are on the methodology page.
