What is the typical fee?
The national range is RM50–RM100. The fee usually covers travel and diagnosis; many companies credit it against the repair if you proceed — always ask before booking. Service tax (SST, 8%) may or may not be included: under Malaysia's Sales and Service Tax regime the service-tax rate rose to 8% (from 6%) on 1 March 2024 and was extended to maintenance and repair services, but repair firms below the RM500,000 annual-turnover registration threshold charge none — so treat 8% as a ceiling, not a guaranteed add-on.
