How we price this in Norway

Norway national base ranges come from named Norwegian cost-guide, service-company and parts sources for heating, cooling and ventilation — never FX-converted from another currency. We localize them with SSB lønnsstatistikk 2024 regional wage relatives (there is no Norwegian equivalent of the U.S. Regional Price Parity, and no Norway-wide occupation-specific wage table for the trade, so the general regional wage relative stands in as the local labour-cost proxy). VAT (MVA) is 25% Norway-wide (standard rate) with no reduced rate for repairs, but small firms below the VAT-registration threshold charge none — so treat 25% as a ceiling. Any work on the refrigerant circuit requires an F-Gas certificate, and work on fixed electrical installations requires a business registered in the Elvirksomhetsregisteret, which is why heat-pump and cooling repairs carry high labour shares. Two honest limits for Norway: burning mineral oil to heat buildings has been banned since 1 January 2020, and there is no nationwide residential gas grid — so we price neither oil furnaces nor gas-fired warm-air systems here, and Norwegian homes are cooled by the same air-to-air heat pump running in cooling mode, not by ducted central air conditioning. Prices are in kroner. The full formula, weights, clamp, and source vintages are on the methodology page.
