How we price this in France

France national base ranges come from named French heating, ventilation and cooling sources (cost guides, trade sources and parts suppliers), in euros and never converted from another currency. We localize them with Insee regional wage relatives (Tous salariés 2023 all-employees base); there is no French equivalent of the U.S. Regional Price Parity and no HVAC-trade-specific regional wage table, so the price and overhead terms stay at the national baseline and the all-employee regional index stands in as the local labour-cost proxy. VAT is usually the 10% reduced rate for repair and maintenance in a dwelling completed more than two years ago (5.5% for some energy-performance improvement work, 20% otherwise), and many small installers fall under the franchise en base de TVA exemption and add none — displayed prices are TTC (all taxes included). Refrigerant-circuit work requires an attestation de capacité under the F-Gas rules, and gas work a qualified installer (PG qualifications), which is why heat-pump, cooling and gas repairs carry higher labour shares.
